Karaoke Lives is ‘American Idol’ or ‘The Voice’ meets karaoke dive bar, but with more interesting backstories. 

The show was inspired by a series of nearly anthropological visits to LA’s legendary karaoke dive bar and favorite celebrity haunt, the Brass Monkey in Koreatown, which the LA Times has described as “…a veritable love shack for all closet pop superstars.”
